Of all lawn-damaging problems, fungal diseases of turfgrass are some of the most difficult to control. There are several diseases that can infect your lawn. They cause a brown "blighting" to the leaves of turfgrass and create unsightly brown spots. Turfgrass disease problems are active from late spring through fall during periods of high moisture and humidity.
While fungicide treatments do not usually eliminate disease from lawns, studies have shown that two to three well timed fungicide applications, applied five to six weeks apart from late spring through summer can significantly reduce the incidence of severe blighting during high pressure periods.
MRW Lawns, Inc. can provide you with the proper applications to help suppress summer disease problems and help keep your lawn looking it's best through the tough, stressful summer period ahead. We recommend three applications for best results. Depending on the weather, an additional 1 or 2 applications may be needed.
